Today I taught my lesson to my kids and they were quite amused by the different pictures I used in it. They got to take turns pulling the pictures up to the correct starting letter. I started with the cowboy of the day and went from there. Each one of the students that went picked the picture they wanted and drug it to the corresponding letter. The class would help them out if they needed it. After that was all done they were able to tell me a few other words that began with J, R, and Z. Then it was time for a birthday celebration! Instead of singing the normal birthday song they tell a little story about making a cake and blowing out the candles. When it was time for me to leave they were all hyped up on their sugar ready to go read!
