Today was my day to do my lesson plan on subtraction. Right before I arrived they were watching a quick video that had a song introducing subtraction with pirates. In my lesson the students were to come up to the board and cross off however many items were being subtracted then write how many were left. After they finished all of those we did one more activity on the smartboard where the students had to answer the problem given then slide the problem over to see the answer. They were quite amazed because of the magic behind my methods!
